Can student athletes be compensated for their participation?
The 1883 Collective is not a pay-for-participation organization. Student athletes are not compensated merely for being athletes but can earn through NIL opportunities facilitated by the collective.
Is my contribution tax-deductible?
It is not. On the advice of our legal counsel who strictly practices NIL law, we are set up as an LLC, incorporated in the state of North Dakota. Since we are not a 501c3 organization, your contribution is not tax deductible.
